Most of our Al Rayyan visits are inside gated compounds in Muaither, Al Gharrafa, Izghawa and Al Rayyan itself. Give us the compound name and villa number when you book and we will clear the gate with security ourselves.

It is common for us to do two or three dogs on one street in a morning once neighbours realise the van is there. If that is you, book together — it is easier for everyone and we can hold consecutive slots.

Bigger houses, bigger dogs

Al Rayyan has more space than the city, and it shows in the dogs — we see more large breeds here than anywhere else we go. Labradors, German shepherds, huskies and the occasional very determined Anatolian.

Large double coats are the hardest thing to manage at home and the easiest thing to fix in the van, because the high-velocity dryer does the work that no household brush can. A proper de-shed on a shepherd pulls out an alarming amount of coat, and it is meant to.

Outdoor dogs and the summer

Dogs with real garden access here pick up more dust, more grass seed and more sun exposure than a flat-dwelling dog in the city. We check paw pads and ear canals as a matter of course.

If your dog spends the summer largely indoors and the winter largely out, the coat changes and the grooming schedule should change with it. We will tell you what we are seeing rather than just booking you in every six weeks by default.

Do you come inside gated compounds?

Yes. Give us the compound name, villa number and any access instructions when you book, and we will arrange entry with security in advance.

Can you groom more than one dog on the same visit?

Yes, one after another. Tell us how many and roughly what size so we can allow the right amount of time rather than running late into the next booking.

Do you charge extra to come out to Al Rayyan?

No. Al Rayyan is part of our standard coverage, same rates as the city.
