Why grooming at home makes more sense here than most cities

For half the year it is too hot to have a dog sitting in a car. A twenty-minute drive to a salon in July is genuinely unpleasant for a double-coated dog and it starts the appointment with an already-panting, already-stressed animal.

Then there is the traffic. Two trips across town, plus a wait, turns a one-hour groom into most of an afternoon. The van removes both journeys.

Towers, villas and where we park

In West Bay and the other tower districts we work from visitor parking or the basement, and we come up to collect. Buildings with a strict security desk are not a problem — tell us the building when you book and we will sort the access rather than turn up and improvise.

In the villa districts we park on the street outside your gate. All we need is a legal space; the van is self-contained for water and power, so nothing runs off your supply.

What Doha coats need

Air conditioning runs all year, so indoor pets shed all year rather than twice a season. De-shedding is the single most-requested thing we do in the city.

Sand and dust get deep into a coat, especially after a shamal. It is the reason a quick bath at home never quite works: rinsing the surface leaves the grit sitting against the skin, which is what starts the itching.

Almost always. Tell us the building and the tower name when you book so we can arrange access with security in advance instead of on the day.

How far ahead do I need to book?

A few days is comfortable. Weekend mornings in Doha book out first, so if that is what you want, ask early.
